Bergenia ‘Ruby Elf’
A petite cultivar with glossy, bright green, evergreen leaves that strongly resemble Bergenia emeiensis - in its parentage perhaps? The winter foliage blushed red-bronze on the margin as is typical for the species. In spring, drooping heads of dense clusters of rich pink flowers appear, held in deep red calyces atop short stout stems. Reaching up to 15cm in height. Perfect for the rock garden. Only available in the US from a very few select suppliers.
