Bergenia ‘Peppermint Patty’

A Walters Gardens introduction forming clumps of strap-like, dark green, leaves with a serrated edge and hairy margin that turn red-brown in autumn and winter. The white flowers in spring have a unique pink throat with colour radiating down each petal. The petals are then edged with a matching thin pink picotee margin. As the flowers age they change to pink but retain a darker pink throat - an interesting and unusual feature not seen before in Bergenia. Not yet available in the European market or the UK.
