Bergenia ‘Brahms’
A selected clone from one of Eric Smith’s hybrids introduced by Jim Archibald in November 1975. It has some of the finest white flowers appearing in early spring that slowly fade to pink with age. Leathery, strap-like green leaves, reminiscent of B. stracheyi, form attractive clumps. Unfortunately, it is rarely seen in trade and cultivation today. A poor specimen can be found growing at RHS Wisley. This clone was received from Christopher Hallsworth.
