Bergenia ‘Morgenröte’

An old but trusted variety forming a rosette of large, rounded, leathery, deep green leaves with clusters of rich pink flowers held in red calyces which emerge from tall, branching, bright red stems in spring. Raised from a mixed series of hybrids selected by Georg Arends in 1895 and introduced in 1950.
