Bergenia ‘Fire and Ice’
A highly unusual cultivar for the unique, upright, dark green, leathery leaves with jagged, deeply cut lobes and a red fringed margin which gives this plant an almost flame-like appearance. Foliage is crowded but generally clump forming. In spring, the most spectacular white, bell-shaped flowers open from contrasting dark pink calyces atop short red, branching stems.
