Bergenia ‘Bressingham Salmon’

An early flowering selection from Adrian Bloom of the Bressingham Gardens in the mid-1970s. Its dark green, oval shaped leaves have a ciliate margin, blushed pink-red, and strongly contrasting veins that make a nice feature throughout the year. However, it is the highly attractive and unusual salmon pink flowers appearing in spring atop short liver red stems that really steal the show. Commonly available in cultivation.
